Heather Buchanan is a producer, publisher, scholar and composer. She is the Executive Producer of the upcoming Solomon (2019) and When the Swan Sings on Hastings (2019). She is currently developing a series based on the bestselling Hook, featured on C-Span. A literary executive with Silver Heart Productions in Oakland, CA., Buchanan is the co-writer of the upcoming film Pure Land (2019). She is the Founder of AUXmedia, a creative arts studio, which is headquartered in TechTown Detroit. IMDB

The owner and publisher of Aquarius Press/Willow Books, Buchanan publishes many of the nation’s top poets and writers.

A Humanities scholar and consultant, Buchanan received a Proclamation from the City of Detroit. A past Poet-in-Residence for the Detroit Public Library, Buchanan served as COO of the Wayne County Council for Arts, History & Humanities. She is working on a memoir, Kingmaker: A Life in Arts & Business Leadership (2020).

Buchanan is the Executive Producer of the Love, War & Jazz Podcast and the author of the upcoming novel and music based on the true story of the Harlem Hellfighters Band of WWI, Victors.
