FAQs

*What are Commissioned Reviews?

Commissioned reviews ensure that your book reaches a reviewer. As opposed to free review submissions, which do not guarantee that a reviewer will select your title, a commissioned review guarantees coverage of your title. Commissioned reviews ensure a book’s respectful treatment and consideration. We believe that an author with a good book should be given a fair chance in this competitive marketplace. Our review fees cover our reviewers’ and editors’ time and enables us to continue to distribute print promotions at no charge to librarians and booksellers. Averaging 300-500 words, our reviews include summary content to give our readers context along with a concise, unbiased, professional opinion. Books are matched with experienced reviewers who are experts in genre, content, style, and market potential; they will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the writing, plot, pacing, characters, packaging, and other elements that influences potential book buyers.
